1. About the Service

Akl Baladi is a food delivery app providing authentic Egyptian home-cooked food delivered within Berlin, Germany. Orders are prepared fresh and delivered on the date and time slot you select.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and place orders. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Placing an Order

• Orders can be placed via the Akl Baladi iOS app
• You must provide a valid delivery address within our delivery area (Berlin)
• You must select a delivery date and a time slot from those available on that date
• Orders are confirmed once you receive a confirmation notification or email
• We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion

4. Pricing and Payment

• All prices are shown in Euros (€) and include applicable VAT
• A delivery fee is added to each order (shown at checkout)
• Payment is currently cash on delivery only — please have the exact amount ready
• Promo codes may be applied at checkout; they cannot be combined and are subject to their individual terms

5. Cancellations and Modifications

• You may cancel or modify an order before it moves to the "Preparing" status
• Once preparation has begun, cancellations are at our discretion
• To cancel, please contact us immediately via the in-app Chat or email
• No charge is applied for cancelled orders (since payment is cash on delivery)

6. Delivery

• We deliver within the Berlin metropolitan area
• Delivery times are estimates within the selected time slot; exact times cannot be guaranteed
• Please ensure someone is available to receive the order at the delivery address
• If the delivery cannot be completed (no one home, wrong address), we will contact you via phone
• We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect address information

7. Food Quality and Allergens

Our food is prepared in a home kitchen that handles common allergens including wheat, sesame, nuts, dairy, and eggs. If you have food allergies or dietary requirements, please contact us before ordering via the in-app Chat.

We make every effort to ensure food quality and safe handling, but we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

8. Refunds and Complaints

If you are unhappy with your order (wrong items, quality issue, missing items), please contact us within 24 hours of delivery via the in-app Chat or at hello@akl-baladi.de. We will review each complaint and offer a fair resolution, which may include a replacement delivery or partial refund credit.

9. User Accounts

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• You must not share your account with others
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behaviour

10. Intellectual Property

All content in the Akl Baladi app — including the logo, food photography, recipes, and text — is the property of Akl Baladi and may not be reproduced without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by German law, Akl Baladi's liability for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the value of the order in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
